This herb is “a women’s herb”. Vitex regulates the female
reproductive system: restores menstruation, relieves premenstrual syndrome,
relieves the symptoms of menopause, restores hormonal balance, and stimulates
the growth of the lining of the uterus. It is sometimes used for the
treatment of PMS. It is believed to be an antaphrodisiac, hence the name "chaste
tree", and is used as a medicinal plant by many herbalists.
Vitex (Chasteberry) is widely used in Germany by
family physicians and gynecologists. |
