Insomnia (Sleepless)

Insomnia Aromatherapy Blend

 
   Ingredients:

  5 drops Clary Sage
  10 drops Chamomile Roman
  5 drops Bergamot
 
 

Blend the oils well in a clean dark-colored glass bottle. Add 1-2 drops to a tissue and place inside your pillow to aid you in falling asleep. If you prefer to make a diffuser blend that you enjoy during the hour before bedtime, make a blend with a ratio of 2 drops Roman Chamomile to 1 drop Clary Sage to 1 drop Bergamot and add to your diffuser. Lavender can also help provide relaxation and drowsiness, but using more than 1-2 drops can have the opposite effect.

 
 

Promote Sleep Diffuser

 
   Ingredients:

  4 drops Lavender Absolute
  4 tsp Jojoba Carrier Oil
 
  Mix all ingredients together. Place in a diffuser and diffuse into your room.
 
 

Sleep-Easy Bath

 
   Ingredients:

  3 drops Lavender French
  2 drops Ylang-Ylang III
 
  This is a lovely way to relax and get ready for some sweet dreams. Add essential oils to tub full of warm water and mix well. Now get into the tub, slowly sinking down until as much of you is submerged as possible. Soak for at least ten minutes, with your eyes closed, simply breathing in the scent.
 
 

Insomnia Massage Oil

  1 drop Marjoram Organic
  1 drop Ylang-Ylang I
  1 drop Chamomile Roman
  1 drop Orange Sweet
  1 drop Tangerine
  1 drop Lavender High Altitude
  1 oz Carrier Oil
 
  Compounded with nature's most relaxing and soothing essential oils, this blend helps you find restful sleep and sweet dreams. Mix all ingredients together and massage onto body.
 
 

Doze

 
   Ingredients:

  4 drops Orange Organic
  3 drops Vetiver
  4 drops Lavender Bulgarian
  2 oz Grapeseed Carrier Oil
 
  This smoky, citrus-like blend is popular if you are having problems sleeping, either through overwork, aching muscles or stress. Gently relaxing and comforting, it will have you snoozing in no time. Mix all ingredients together. Use in the bath or massage on your back.

 

To Calm Nerves and Promote Sleep

 
 
   Ingredients:

  4 drops Lavender High Altitude  
  1 tsp milk or cream  
 
  Mix all ingredients together, pour into a warm bath and soak.  
 
 

Sleep Well Bath

 
 
   Ingredients:

  1 drop Clary Sage Organic  
  3 drop Lavender French Fine Organic  
  1 tsp milk or cream  
 
 

Mix 3 drops lavender and 1 drop clary sage with a teaspoon of milk or cream. Add to a warm bath & soak.

 
 
 

Sleepy Time

  50g (1.8oz) moisturizer  
  6 drops Benzoin Absolute  
  9 drops Orange 5 Fold  
  5 drops Chamomile Roman  
 
  As well as being a great moisturizer for cracked skin, this is an effective remedy for those experiencing constipation, insomnia or nightmares. The vanilla-like smell of Benzoin, and the fruity orange aroma, make this a familiar and comfortable fragrance. These oils can also be used in a bubble bath.  
 
 

Sleeplessness Blend

  3 drops Marjoram Organic  
  2 drops Geranium Bourbon    
  4 oz Bath & Shower Gel (unscented)  
 
  Try this one in the evening the ingredients will help you sleep. Marjoram and Yarrow are both excellent for muscular aches and pains, especially after heavy exercise. Geranium is uplifting and can promise pleasant dreams. All are good for the skin, especially if it is dry.
