Lover's Potion

   Ingredients:
Click on the ingredients for more information.
  7 drops Sandalwood Australian
3 drops Ylang Ylang Extra Organic
  7 drops Vanilla Absolute (Brazilian)
  2 drops Geranium Bourbon
  2 drops Frankincense
  4 drops Rose Morocco Absolute
  1 drop Myrrh
  1/4 oz Jojoba Carrier Oil

This recipe is an especially romantic potion filled with aromatic oils said to increase romantic desire. It smells alluring and is not overly sweet. Combine the aromatic oils in a 1/4 ounce bottle of jojoba oil. Allow to mellow for a few weeks before using. This is a perfume, not a skincare product. It should be used in small quantities on pulse points such as wrists, behind the ears and knees and between the breasts.

Cocoa Butter Dry Skin Complex

   Ingredients:
Click on the ingredients for more information.
  2 drop Rose Geranium
  1 drop Clary Sage
  2 drops Lavender Bulgarian
  18 grams Avocado Carrier Oil
  18 grams Sunflower Carrier Oil
  20 grams cocoa butter (unscented)
18 grams extra virgin olive oil

This thick, rich "complex" for dry skin is made with lots of cocoa butter and other oils designed to aid dry skin. While it is liquid at room temperature, it is rather thick and requires shaking a little before using. Place cocoa butter, sunflower oil, olive oil and avocado oil in a heat proof (I use Pyrex) measuring cup, and place the cup in a saucepan of boiling water. Once the cocoa butter is nearly melted, remove the mixture from heat and stir with a clean spoon or pop sickle stick to mix well. Make sure the cocoa butter is completely melted and mixed in. Add the essential oils next and stir well to incorporate. Pour the mixture into a glass bottle with a dropper top and dispense a little at a time to soothe and protect dry skin. In cooler climates, this Cocoa Butter Dry Skin Complex could harden a bit. If this happens, just warm it under warm water before using or store it in a sunny window to keep it pourable.

Lotion Bar

   Ingredients:
1 tsp essential oil of your choice
  .7 ounces Avocado Carrier Oil
.6 ounces Sweet Almond Carrier Oil
  .7 ounces Jojoba Carrier Oil
  1 ounce cocoa butter
  1 ounce shea butter

  1 teaspoon Vitamin E
  1/2 teaspoon corn starch
1 teaspoon mica (color of your choice)

This is an easy body balm to make that has had got great reviews by everyone who uses it. It's pretty too because of the mica!
In a double boiler melt your butters, beeswax and oils. After everything is completely melted, remove from heat. Stir in the corn starch, making sure to mix it well until completely dissolved to prevent clumping. Add mica for color if desired and stir well to fully incorporate and prevent lumps. Just before pouring into lotion bar containers or molds of your choice, the scented oil and stir. Immediately pour the mixture into the containers or molds. Let cool overnight for use the next day.

Ylang Tangerine Dry Skin Balm

   Ingredients:
Click on the ingredients for more information.
  10 drops Tangerine
2 drops Ylang Ylang Extra Organic
  0.4 ounces beeswax
  1 ounce shea butter
  1 ounce virgin coconut oil

This easy to make balm will leave any dry area of skin feeling smoothed and moisturized, plus scented with a slightly topical aroma. Place the virgin coconut oil and shea butter into a heat proof measuring cup. (I use Pyrex.) Place the cup into a pot of boiling water. When the wax is nearly completely melted, remove from heat and stir to melt the wax completely. Let the mixture cool for about 5 minutes, then add the essential oils and stir well to incorporate. (This product smells great even without essential oils because of the unique aroma of the virgin coconut oil and raw shea butter.) Pour your Ylang Ylang, Tangerine mixture Dry Skin Balm into a clean glass container and allow to cool completely (about an hour) before capping tightly and labeling. The shelf life is 6 months to a year if fresh ingredients and clean containers are used, and if only clean fingers are used to dispense the product.
