Aromatherapy Properties:
(Uses)
Native
Americans have referred to this plant as oak lung, lung moss, lungwort
and others. It was used for ailments of the lungs and to heal wounds.
Unfortunately, medicinal uses for the Oak Moss absolute have not yet been
established. Oakmoss is Fixative, that binds more volatile oils and makes
them stay longer. Creates feeling of security and attachment.
An absolute is extracted from
Moss, as they are considered too delicate to process through
steam distillation. The advantage of the
absolute is that the complete aroma of this wonderful flower is preserved in
the resultant oil. |
