Description: Its aroma is uplifting,
spicy, sweet; like orange and lemons with floral overtones, citrus spice
with a high floral note. |

Aromatherapy Properties:
(Uses) Refreshes, relaxes, and
helps relieve insomnia. Increases the production of white blood cells.
Eczema, herpes, acne, psoriasis, skin infections, cold sores,
blisters, shingles, and chicken pox. Aroma relaxes brain waves, very
calming, balancing, antidepressant, reduces tension and hysteria,
sedative, reduces fear, balancing, decreases Sympathetic Nervous
System action. Painful digestion, colitis and loss of appetite. Tonic
action on uterus. Antiseptic, antibiotic, anti-spasmodic, antifungal,
antiviral, anti-inflammatory, calmative. Do not use in sun products.

History:
The name Bergamot is
derived from the city Bergamot in Lombardy where the oil was first sold.
This tree is native to South East Asia but was introduced to Europe, and
particularly Italy, but is also found in the Ivory Coast, Morocco, Tunisia
and Algeria.
